This Privacy Policy explains how VPN Cat (“VPN Cat”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you access and use our website (the “Site”) and VPN services (the “Services”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information.

1. Zero-Log Policy

VPN Cat maintains a strict zero-log policy. We do not monitor, record, or store logs of customer VPN activity. This means:

• We do not collect any information about the websites you visit while using our VPN service.
• We do not monitor or store any data transmitted through the VPN, including browsing history, content, or DNS queries.

We only collect minimal information necessary to provide and maintain the VPN service, including:

• Device Information: Collected anonymously to improve app performance.
• IP Address: used to establish the VPN connection and kept, with the anonymous identifier below, in a connection record for up to seven days for service reliability and abuse prevention, then deleted.
• Anonymous Identifier: a random identifier the app generates on your device to tell your connections apart. It is not linked to your name, email address, Apple ID or any account, because we hold none.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use our Site and Services:

• No Account: the Services need no registration. We do not collect your name, your email address or your payment details. Subscriptions are purchased through Apple, and Apple does not share your payment details with us.
• Usage Data: your IP address, the anonymous identifier, the country and network the app connects from, the protocol served and whether the connection succeeded — in the connection record of section 1 — and your device type and app version.

VPN Cat integrates Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements. The SDK may collect the following information to enhance ad performance:

• IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of a device.
• Non-user related crash logs, used for diagnostic purposes.
• Performance data, such as app launch time and energy usage, to improve the SDK and ad functionality.
• Device ID, including advertising identifiers for personalized ads.
• Advertising data, such as ads viewed, to improve ad relevance.
• User interactions, including video views and taps, to optimize ad performance.

If you do not hold a subscription, the app asks once, after you have accepted this policy in the app, through the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether it may use your device's advertising identifier; you can change your answer at any time in the iOS Settings. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent form, shown when you connect to the free servers, also lets you decline personalized ads. Subscribers see no ads. VPN Cat also uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage events (such as connection attempts and their outcomes), only after you accept this policy in the app; they carry no name, email address or IP address.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain our Services;
• Verify your subscription with Apple on your device;
• Enhance user experience by improving our Site and Services;
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who help us operate our Services: Apple (App Store purchases and subscriptions), Google (advertising and analytics) and the providers hosting our servers;
• As required by law or legal process;
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of VPN Cat or others.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site sets no cookies and uses no tracking technologies, and loads nothing from third parties. The app uses no cookies.

6. Security

We implement security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. We send no communications and hold no account of yours; the connection records of section 1 expire within seven days, and deleting the app removes the anonymous identifier from your device.

8. Third-Party Services

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party services.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we encourage you to review the policy periodically.

10. No Account

The Services need no account. We do not collect your email address, your name or your payment information, and we send no notifications.

11. Protecting Your Information

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. We never receive or store your payment details: Apple processes every purchase.
